This years ECC will hold its 13th edition of an ECC Weekend! on
the actual 60th Anniversary of the comic strip that was the genius
of its creator Sparky Schulz . ECC, which began in 1994 when a
small group of collectors addressed the need for a Peanuts event
on the east coast. From that humble beginning, ECC has grown to
become a destination event drawing hundreds of collectors from
all across the U.S. as well as foreign countries. Over the course
of ECC events, just under $210,000 has been raised for CCI. This
year's goal is to break the $225,000 mark.
While this year's event is being held to celebrate Peanuts 60th
year, the theme of our gathering will be Snoopy's Space Odyssey
and many themed events are being planned. Of course, traditional
activities that have made ECC so popular such as our scavenger
hunt and "S-P-I-K-E" will of course be featured. As
many long time attendees already know, ECC Weekend is just that,
A WEEKEND. Attendees who don't come to the meals are missing out
on door prizes, special contests, and most of all, the camaraderie
that is such a big part of the East Coast events. To stress that
point, this year we are offering a rebate on all "collector"
registrations who opt for all 3 meals and pay before AUGUST 1st.
We are also taking pre-orders on limited ECC T-shirts to insure
that no one is left out. Only pre-paid orders can be guaranteed
receiving a shirt as the club cannot risk getting stuck with unsold
shirts.
After months of searching in vain
for a host property, ECC is thrilled to have booked this year's
event at Dolce Valley Forge Hotel in King of Prussia, PA. This
suburban Philadelphia property is located right down the street
from the country's largest enclosed shopping mall (with free hotel
shuttles) as well as minutes from historic center Philadelphia
and its Independence Hall. And don't forget that Camp Snoopy at
Dorney park is only a 45 minute drive and will be featuring its
Hallo-Weekends during your visit.
Dolce Valley Forge is now accepting reservations at a spectacular
group price of only $95 per night, when you mention "Snoopy

On Friday afternoon, during registration, we will hold our games
carnival for CCI. We are always in need of small prize donations
as well as items for both silent and voice auctions. The traditional
scavenger hunt will be created by last year's winner and open
to all "collector" attendees. If you can help us with
